Story

Our objective, born from the resonance with patients’ needs, was to eliminate geographical distances, facilitating patients’ quick access to diagnosis, wherever needed. This objective has become a reality through the development of productive partnerships in the field of research and innovation. Thus, in a relatively short time, managing to create and integrate state-of-the-art IT systems and solutions into the medical act, for the reason of continuously improving the quality of life of patients and contributing to their health.

WHAT IT IS TELERADIOLOGY?

Teleradiology represents the medical service that consists in the electronic transmission of radiological images, with the help of digital image capture technologies, for the purpose of their interpretation by radiology and medical imaging doctors to establish a diagnosis.

Teleradiology provides secure access to imaging investigations, as well as to medical information, speeding up and facilitating the application of treatment by the attending physician.

The benefit of teleradiology is the facilitation of rapid and accurate diagnosis of the patient through effective communication between the hospital of origin and the remote radiologist, allowing not only a detailed interpretation of the examinations, but also an efficient drafting of the results and their communication in the shortest possible time.

The teleradiology service is provided by using the PACS – Picture Archiving and Communication System system, which allows the remote radiologist to access, interpret and edit the examination results of the partner medical center, transmitting them securely.
